A wonderful new art installation, STUFF, can now be seen in the Milstein Center lobby, which pays tribute to Ntozake Shange (BC’70) and is part of the Shange Magic project (an Africana Studies and BLAIS collaboration). After culminating months of planning, artists Dianne Smith and curator Souleo worked with BLAIS staff to install the powerful piece titled “STUFF”. The work is a multimedia installation celebrating Ntozake Shange’s groundbreaking choreopoem, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf.
Thanks to to Martha Tenney, Miriam Neptune, Meredith Wisner, and Patrick Eisenhauer for their work on this exhibit.
